At House of Bread, we take our time to produce some of the
best tasting goods, using nature’s ingredients, just
like Grandma. Here are reasons why our products are better
tasting, and better for you, than
mass-produced bread purchased from the grocery store:
-
We use fresh, natural stone-milled wheat flour for all of our wheat flour products. Most grocery store breads use chemically treated bleached flour, which contains harmful residues.
-
At House of Bread, we mill all our wheat flour, fresh, as we need it. Commercial millers super-heat grain before the milling process and use high-speed milling devices that destroy the nutrients found in the wholesome, natural grain.
-
Our stone-milled wheat flour is naturally high in fiber and rich in vitamins and minerals. Grocery store bread contains only a remnant of the natural vitamins that the government mandates be added back.
-
Our breads are ideal for individuals who want to eat the right carbohydrates for optimum health and weight control. We use nutritious, high-fiber, high-protein Montana wheat, making ours the healthiest breads on the planet. Grocery store breads are made from over-processed, low-fiber flour, and are loaded with added sugars.
-
We take time to create the perfect loaf of bread for your family. It takes 6 hours to
produce a single loaf of our product. By contrast, some large commercial bakeries use chemicals, including the known carcinogen potassium bromate, to speed the production process.
-
House of Bread uses honey as a sweetener, which is a natural antioxidant and is digested easily. Most grocery store breads use high fructose corn syrup for sweetener, which is difficult to digest, has no nutritional value and results in weight gain.
-
House of Bread’s products are preservative-free. Most grocery store breads use calcium propionate, an anti-fungal compound commonly used in athlete’s foot powder. This compound has been linked to adverse effects on child behavior including ADHD and irritability.
-
Most House of Bread products are naturally fat-free. And, when fat is used, it comes from a natural source such as eggs, olive oil, canola oil or real butter. Most grocery store bread is produced with cottonseed oil and contains trans fatty acids, increasing the risk of heart disease and diabetes.
